What you'll contribute to

The Toyota Parts Centre (TPC) is a warehouse that receives and distributes automotive car parts to service centres within the country and occasionally overseas. An extensive range of parts are handled in the warehouse which come in various sizes, shapes and weights. There are 4 warehouses nationally, one in Altona North VIC, Kemps Creek NSW, Acacia Ridge QLD and Winnellie NT.

The Assistant Operations Leader is primarily responsible for supporting the Operations Leader with day to day coordination of labour, operational and Kaizen activities of their warehouse section. This includes monitoring attendance, leave and quality of work in order to support the achievement of TMCA wholesale and retail targets, to increase efficiency and productivity, reduce lead-time and costs

This role is based in Winnellie, NT and is on a Permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations including people, materials, and equipment.
  • Support the team in meeting performance targets across both wholesale and retail operations.
  • Drive employee engagement through training, guidance, and leadership.
  • Monitor staff attendance, leave, and overall performance to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and TMCA's policies.
  • Lead quality and improvement initiatives, monitor team performance, and address safety and operational risks
  • Help identify and eliminate waste to support cost-reduction and sustainability goals

What we're looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to coordinate labour, equipment, and materials to meet operational targets.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Confident in using performance data to drive decisions and improve outcomes.
