TMS South Scheduler – Myambat

The Role / Job Description –

Toll Group are seeking a meticulous and dynamic Scheduler to join the team and to monitor the smooth and efficient scheduling of deliveries. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating the delivery of products to our clients nationally, driver and asset availability in accordance with the Toll Values. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all deliveries are delivered safely on time and in the most cost-effective manner.

At Toll, we provide specialised transport supporting a Defence prime. Our Defence prime partner operates 17 depots around Australia providing storage, distribution and maintenance services for Explosive Ordnance used by the Australian Defence Force. Based at our depot in the Hunter Valley NSW your job will be to work jointly within the Scheduling team in the strategic coordination of a growing fleet and personnel with the nationwide deliveries and meeting the unique needs of our customer where safety, security, professionalism and customer service are our top priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the TMS Scheduler –

  • Ensure scheduling and rostering strategies are created and implemented to maximise the utilisation of the fleet and people resources.
  • Analyse delivery data and trends to optimise scheduling and improve delivery performance.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and adjust as necessary to accommodate changes or unexpected delays.
  • Facilitate and schedule fleet maintenance and repairs, communicate with vendors and attend weekly meetings with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate job quotations are created and returned to the customer in the requested timeframes.
  • Complete and return accurate resource allocations to the customer in a timely manner ensuring maximised fleet utilisation.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

  • To be an Australian Citizen to obtain a Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance.
  • Strong customer service orientation, effective time management and self-discipline.
  • Ability to create business improvements/solutions for customers.
  • Ability to manage maximum capacity vehicle utilisation.
  • Knowledge of Road Transport rules & regulations – training to be provided.
  • Dangerous Goods and Explosives knowledge.
  • Strong numerical & literacy skills with strong computer literacy skills.
