People Partner (HR Business Partner)

Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten

Date: 12 hours ago
City: South Yarra, Victoria
Contract type: Full time
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate People Partner (HR Business Partner) to join our team! This is a permanent full-time role, working from our South Yarra Head Office five days per week.

Connect, Learn, & Grow!

At Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional childcare services. Established in Victoria in 2017, we now operate 30 services with a pipeline of 40+ new centres planned over the next three years across Victoria, Western Australia, and New South Wales.

We’re looking for a passionate and people-first People Partner (HR Business Partner) to join our collaborative and high-impact People & Talent team. Reporting to the Head of People & Talent, you’ll partner closely with leaders to provide professional HR support, coaching, and advice, while also contributing to projects that shape the future of our organisation.

This role blends strategic HR partnering with hands-on support across employee relations, performance, engagement, leadership development, and return to work. If you’re passionate about building capability, driving culture, and supporting people to thrive — we’d love to hear from you.

No return to work experience? No problem — we’re happy to support training in this space for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

  • Build trusted relationships with centre and operational leaders to provide proactive, practical HR advice
  • Support leaders with employee relations matters, performance conversations, and case management
  • Coach leaders to build confidence and capability in managing people challenges and opportunities
  • Lead or support key HR initiatives such as engagement action plans, recognition programs, and career development frameworks
  • Work collaboratively across the People & Talent team to deliver strategic people programs and policy rollouts
  • Coordinate and contribute to wellbeing and culture initiatives across your portfolio
  • Manage injury management and return to work cases in partnership with our Quality & Compliance team
  • (we’re happy to train you in return to work if it’s new to you!)
  • Support workforce planning, succession conversations, and ongoing talent reviews in your area
  • Analyse people data and provide insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, Psychology, Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Previous experience in a HR Business Partner or HR Advisor role
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations and the ability to apply awards, legislation, and policies with confidence
  • Approachable and empathetic communicator, skilled at building trust and navigating sensitive situations
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and remain solutions-focused
  • Highly organised, with strong documentation and follow-up skills
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly to centres across Victoria
  • Experience in return to work coordination is highly regarded — but not essential; training will be provided
