About The Role
The Head of Marketing, Elsevier Health ANZ (HOM) is responsible for growing the team of marketing professionals, leading and driving them to develop and implement the annual marketing plan directly contributing to the achievement of revenue growth targets.
This role will identify, plan, develop and implement marketing projects and initiatives to align with strategic business priorities and work directly with Sales, Commercial, Product and the Customer Success team to support their efforts to achieve revenue growth targets.
This role is also responsible for the translation of market, customer and competitive intelligence into actionable, measurable marketing plans across the mix that aim to drive revenue, deliver agreed return on investment and provide metrics of such performance.
A key requirement for the HOM is to demonstrate capability in change management, situational leadership capability and transferring vision. It is also essential that the HOM demonstrate skills in building effective teams, developing strong peer relationships in a highly matrixed global organisation, and leads from the front with regard to high integrity and trust.

Responsibilities
Leadership and Change Management
- Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.
- Develop and support the team to achieve business excellence, build a culture of innovation, collaboration, customer focus and passion for winning.
- Model high degrees of integrity and trust to always uphold company and leadership values throughout the organisation with higher management, team members and peers
- Create the strategic and Integrated Marketing Communications plan, align resources and budget accordingly and have obtained various stakeholder endorsement to the plan in the development of this plan
- Partner with commercial teams to deliver Marketing messages that are high-quality, powerful, accurate, and up-to-date reflections of the product roadmap and vision; produce internally and externally-facing materials that are infused with benefit driven messaging for each product
- Deliver timely reporting and analysis of campaign results to key stakeholders
- Oversee the development and implementation of the annual segment marketing plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy
- Accountable for product and services billings and revenue targets
- Manage ANZ marketing budget, setting the spend priorities, and measuring overall results against plans
- has 8+ years marketing, business development, strategic marketing and/or management consulting
- has 3+ years leadership and people management experience
- has demonstrated ability of building high performing teams, a strong change management background and flexing skills
- track record of delivering successful campaigns
- proven experience running print and digital marketing campaigns
- strong understanding of user needs and a history of effectively addressing them
- industry knowledge in medical, health, pharma desired
- is self-motivated, results-oriented with a willingness to contribute to team success
- customer centric in purpose and action
