This role is integral to our month-end reporting cycle, financial compliance, and overall business performance. You will process financial transactions, manage reconciliations, support AR and AP, and contribute to budgeting and reporting activities. You’ll also liaise with key stakeholders and external parties to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
About You
You are a capable, collaborative and detail-focused finance professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and is excited for the career pathways at AVS. You bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding in accounting practices, including processing financial transactions, and month-end reconciliations.
- Knowledge of AR/AP processes and the ability to manage cash flow processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, you’re someone who can dissect complex issues, provide strategic insights, and implement effective solutions.
- Stakeholder relationship skills, enabling you to work across teams and build trust.
- A commitment to collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing.
- Alignment with AVS’s values and the Victorian Government Code of Conduct.
