About The Role
As the General Manager WikiCamps you will have the rare and exciting opportunity to lead the transformation of a digital travel business poised for significant growth. With a passionate and engaged customer base already in place and a funding pipeline supporting our expansion, we are uniquely positioned to redefine the travel experience.
This newly created role will be at the forefront of this journey, steering the strategic direction, commercial growth, product evolution and operational excellence of the business. Key responsibilities of the role will include -
Commercial Leadership
To excel in the role you will have a strong background in commercial leadership, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making, combined with extensive experience in driving revenue growth, optimizing costs, and managing full P&L accountability. A proven track record in developing and executing commercial strategies, including pricing, partnerships, and business development opportunities, is essential. Additionally, you will have the ability to evolve and communicate a compelling vision and strategic direction that inspires innovation and aligns with the company's goals.
You will need to demonstrate proficiency in leveraging advanced data analytics to inform business decisions, understand customer behaviors, and optimize overall business performance. You will be adept at utilizing insights to personalize communications, improve customer experiences, and identify new business opportunities. Furthermore, strong marketing and brand leadership skills are required to build a distinctive and market-leading brand proposition, oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies, and analyze market trends and customer insights to enhance customer engagement. Suitable tertiary qualifications for this role include a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field, which will provide the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in this position.
Whilst technical proficiency is important to the role, you will also need to demonstrate exceptional leadership and digital innovation skills. You will possess the attitude, soft skills, and capability to engage with a broad range of business stakeholders. - Develop and execute commercial strategies, including pricing, partnerships, and business development opportunities.

- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy, identifying market opportunities and threats, and adjusting plans accordingly.
- Develop a 5 year strategy that positions the business to win market share, create customer love and ultimately uplift business valuation
- Lead cross-functionally to enable systems to collect, analyse, and interpret rich data sources, fostering a data-driven culture within the organisation.
- Leverage advanced data analytics to inform business decisions, understand customer behaviours, and optimise overall business performance.
- Utilise insights to personalise communications, improve customer experiences, and identify new business opportunities.
- Build a distinctive and market leading brand proposition
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies to build brand awareness, customer acquisition and revenue.
