  • Our Banking department provides a range of banking services to Australian Government agencies and Overseas Central Banks. As part of the team, this brings an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of how Banking arrangements are undertaken for the Commonwealth

The role

In this role you will be responsible for the provision of system administration and operational support functions for an area's business systems and processing of transactions on behalf of internal and external clients, including overseas/international payments and payments resulting from registry/financial debt instruments and counter/telling services.


Your role will also be responsible for components of business banking products accessed by the Bank's customers coupled with responding to a range of customer enquiries and performing a variety of administrative duties.

  • Provide effective operational and administrative customer support for business systems
  • Assist with the operational activities of AUD payment services to overseas central bank clients ensuring strict adherence to escalation procedures
  • Maintenance of internal departmental and overseas client accounts
  • Conduct regular reviews of business operations to ensure operational controls are efficient and remain relevant
  • Provide telling / counter services as required


About you

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Banking / Finance industry
  • Knowledge of banking, telling / counter services, registry (or financial debt instruments / bonds) and overseas / international payment processes, procedures and systems (i.e. SWIFT)
  • Skilled at cultivating and sustaining strong stakeholder relationships through excellent written and verbal communication
  • Well-developed knowledge of customer support principles, monitoring and administrative requirements
  • Extensive background in customer service or relevant help desk support, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality assistance
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines through exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • You are a critical thinker capable of working independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
