Mental Health Clinician

About the Role:
As a Mental Health Professional, you will draw upon your clinical expertise to support clients in distress. Working collaboratively with fellow clinicians, lived experience staff, families, carers, and broader treatment teams, your work will focus on comprehensive mental health assessment, brief intervention, and coordinated exit planning to minimise risk of relapse and support safe transitions home.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop trusted, professional relationships with consumers
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and collaboratively develop care plans
Engage clients using a strengths-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach
Deliver short-term, high-quality interventions aligned with recovery principles
Promote active participation by clients and carers in planning and feedback
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, holistic care
Monitor and evaluate outcomes through regular data collection and review
Ensure work aligns with clinical governance, safety, and quality frameworks
Adhere to professional codes of conduct, workplace safety, and incident reporting procedures
Operate autonomously while maintaining appropriate escalation and supervision processes
About You:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or a related discipline
Current professional registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body
Experience in acute or community mental health settings
Strong assessment, care planning, and risk management capabilities
Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills
Commitment to recovery-oriented practice and trauma-informed care
