About the role !!

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Officer, you’ll work closely with the other Payroll Officers in the team who support our Senior Payroll Officers, Payroll Supervisor, and Payroll Manager to assist in the seamless processing of our weekly payroll. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the processing of the weekly payroll cycle (17,500+ employees)
  • Action weekly exception reporting
  • Identify timesheet errors and assist stores with corrections
  • Lifelenz (‘Time & Attendance system’) processing, including the export of times worked into the payroll system
  • Public Holiday processing
  • Processing of Team Member payroll transactions including leave processing, termination payments, new employees, timecard and award interpretation, deduction and allowance processing, staff transfers and position changes
  • Customer Service tasks such as emails and answering the payroll telephone hotline
  • Other duties as required

About You

You’re a proactive and detail-oriented individual, with experience in a similar administrative or payroll role (desirable). You’ll bring:

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills: Comfortable working with spreadsheets and payroll data.
  • Basic Payroll Knowledge: A good understanding of payroll-related legislation, industrial instruments, and Fair Work requirements (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience with Payroll or Time & Attendance Systems: Previous experience with systems like Lifelenz or similar payroll platforms is a plus.
