Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Finance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Head of Finance, and work alongside a diverse group of Colleagues that support our Digital & Integrated Systems business. You'll play a critical role in supporting our leadership team to provide strategic and operational finance guidance. You will be based in our Melbourne CBD office and support one of our major projects.
We’ll look to you for:
- Financial Oversight: Assist the lead FPM in preparing comprehensive financial overviews and ensure monthly billing aligns with open claim contracts and alliance agreements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct monthly work package reviews with stakeholders across ANZ and internationally.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to company procedures, financial rules, and Alstom RAM standards.
- Performance Analysis: Evaluate execution performance and recommend actions to improve contract margins, cash flow, and mitigate risks.
- Risk Management: Manage project bonds and hedging strategies to limit financial exposure.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Deliver full financial reporting (orders, sales, costs, margins, cash) to the Unit Controller for month-end, forecasts, and budgeting.
- ERP Reconciliation: Maintain consistent and reconciled financial data across ERP systems for both onshore and offshore scopes.
- Claims Support: Support accurate claim compilation and ensure consistency in internal and external financial claims.
- Decision Participation: Actively contribute to project meetings and risk analysis discussions, especially on financial and contractual matters.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Interface with tax, treasury, insurance, and contract management teams.
- HR & Tax Collaboration: Work with HR and tax experts to ensure compliance with local laws for onshore project staff.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under time pressure and in a fast-paced environment, and effectively prioritise.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Significant experience in a similar role, providing financial analysis/support.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience using SAP (Preferred).
- Tertiary qualification in Finance or equivalent.
