About the role
We're looking for a strategic and operational finance leader to join us as Head of Finance 1. This is an incredible opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy while working closely with our CEO and senior leadership team 1. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, operations, compliance, and reporting across our dynamic, fast-paced media business 1. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an environment where you can drive real change, ensure strong governance, and enable growth while contributing to our mission of making the world a better place for women and girls.
Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:
- Track and report on company performance, including revenue, growth, and key financial KPIs, delivering weekly financial updates and monthly performance analysis
- Lead the budgeting process and partner with business unit leaders to develop and maintain rolling forecasts
- Collaborate with business leaders to provide data-driven insights, financial modelling, and scenario planning for key initiatives and ad-hoc projects
- Oversee day-to-day finance functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Maintain robust internal controls and continuously improve financial policies and procedures
- Manage short- and long-term cash flow forecasting and maintain banking relationships to ensure adequate working capital and liquidity
- Lead, coach, and develop our finance team, fostering a high-performance culture with strong attention to detail and accountability
Now, a bit about you
- You're CA/CPA qualified with 8+ years of broad finance experience
- You have proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- You bring strong technical accounting skills combined with a commercial mindset
- You're a confident communicator who can influence and guide non-finance stakeholders
- You're hands-on and pragmatic, happy to switch between strategic thinking and operational execution
- Experience in media, advertising, or content-led businesses would be ideal but isn't essential
- You're passionate about making a difference and contributing to meaningful work
