About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of both internal and client-facing platforms. Sitting within a tight-knit tech team, you'll be responsible for supporting infrastructure, enabling smooth deployments, maintaining uptime, and contributing to an overall culture of continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure problems in real time, thrives in a high-ownership environment, and has the confidence to take the lead on key DevOps initiatives.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing infrastructure across cloud-based platforms (AWS) with services like EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, and VPC Networking

• Using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and infrastructure management

• Implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems

• Working with Docker (and ideally Kubernetes) for containerisation and orchestration

• Troubleshooting deployment or infrastructure issues quickly and effectively

• Collaborating with developers, Product Owners, and Delivery Managers to support software releases

• Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to sprint-based delivery

• Being on-call for critical after-hours incidents (shared rotation)

About You
You're an experienced DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer with strong cloud knowledge, automation skills, and the ability to think fast when things break. You love working with high-performing teams and take pride in creating robust, scalable environments that keep systems running smoothly.

You'll bring:

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure management

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking, DNS, and SSL

• Proficiency in automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)

• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, VPC, IAM)

• Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployment; Kubernetes a bonus

• Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum or Kanban)

• Attention to detail, accountability, and a "get it done" mindset

• A willingness to be on-call for production systems when needed
