About Your Opportunity

You will support day to day operation of the bulk water transport system in a safe and efficient manner to meet business and customer requirements including Operating Protocols, Monthly Operational Supply Schedule, internal standards of service articulated in HACCP plans, safety, environment, quality systems and service standards for reliability of supply.

This Role Is Responsible For

  • Support effective and efficient day to day operation of the bulk water transport system to ensure meet business and regulatory required are met.
  • Provide operational engineering advice and support to ensure the efficient utilisation and reduce supply and quality risks in operating of the bulk water transport system.
  • Provide operational advice, support and input to allow effective and efficient implementation of continuous improvements in bulk water transport system.
  • Undertake fault finding and analysis of supply system defects and events.
  • Verify and provide feedback on designs operationally, propose possible improved alternatives/modifications and undertake operational planning for project work to assure continuity of supply and water quality.
  • Undertake defects review, analysis and signoff of close out actions; collation of commissioning data; identifies, review and analyse defects possible rectifications solutions.
  • Liaise with contractors and external parties on cost effective and practical solutions.
  • Devise and oversee implementation of supply system testing procedures to prove modifications, upgrades and new infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review operational isolation procedures and work method statements and identify planned work requirement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary Degree qualification in an relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Current active RPEQ registration in a discipline relevant to the position (desirable), or working towards RPEQ registration
  • Sound engineering or technical experience within the potable water distribution system management or operations field.
  • Sound experience in use of contemporary monitoring and control systems.
  • Understanding of water supply system modelling.
  • Knowledge of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, the principles of HACCP, and Quality Assurance systems and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety, Environment and EEO legislation.

This position will have a salary range of $149,648.11 - $162,324.62 (dependant on experience) plus 12.75% Super.
