About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and approachable People & Culture Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month maternity leave cover.
Reporting to the Head of P&C, you'll be the first point of contact for all people-related matters, you’ll provide comprehensive support across the business while helping us foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture. This role will work closely with our Retail, Head Office and Warehouse teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of P&C operations.

About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and approachable People & Culture Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a 12-month maternity leave cover.
Reporting to the Head of P&C, you'll be the first point of contact for all people-related matters, you’ll provide comprehensive support across the business while helping us foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture. This role will work closely with our Retail, Head Office and Warehouse teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of P&C operations.
Some Key Responsibilities Include
- Act as the first point of contact for general HR advice, support and coaching across the business
- Coach, mentor and support retail managers with interpretation of Awards, legislation and policies & procedures
- Manage ER/IR matters in consultation with the Head of P&C
- Act as a subject matter expert with handling grievances and conducting disciplinary measures, including warning letters and related disciplinary meetings.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for Head Office and Warehouse teams, including contract generation and issuing onboarding packs
- Be a strong support and mentor to our Retail Talent Specialist on day-to-day activities
- Roll-out engagement and retention initiatives
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of corporate training programs
- Maintain and improve HR systems, tools and documentation
- Provide accurate and timely HR reporting and analysis
- Handle general HR administration and compliance-related tasks
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role
- A strong understanding of HR practices, employment legislation and recruitment
- Working knowledge of the General Retail Award and its application
- Strong analytical ability, with proven experience on reporting key metrics and data analysis / must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously while also being a team player
