About The Role

We’re looking for a commercially sharp, hands-on M&A professional to join our team, reporting to the Senior Manager M&A. This role will be central to sourcing, analysing, and executing acquisitions, investments, and broader strategic initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior leadership across the full deal lifecycle – from market mapping and due diligence through to financial modelling, approvals, and integration.

In addition to transactions, you’ll also contribute to the planning of our development projects, helping shape the future of our portfolio. This role is based in Adelaide, and relocation is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate acquisition and investment opportunities through market research, strategic fit assessments, and financial analysis
  • Build and maintain robust valuation models (DCF, precedent transactions, scenario analysis)
  • Lead or support end-to-end due diligence across commercial, financial, legal, operational, and technical workstreams
  • Prepare and present internal deal materials, including investment cases, board papers, exec updates, and financial summaries
  • Coordinate and manage external advisers (legal, tax, financial, technical) to support transactions and internal reviews
  • Track and manage deal progress against key milestones, risks, and stakeholder requirements
  • Support broader strategic and corporate development initiatives, including tenders, lease negotiations, and partnership opportunities
  • Contribute to planning and analysis for development projects across the network, working cross-functionally with development, operations and revenue teams
  • Support post-deal integration planning and execution to ensure delivery of acquisition objectives

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years’ experience (Senior Analyst) / 8+ years’ experience (Manager) with at least 2 years in big 4 M&A, private equity or corporate development.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills – Advanced Excel skills are a must
  • Solid understanding of valuation, deal structuring and the full M&A lifecycle
  • Clear communicator, confident presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, organised, able to manage multiple projects independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment

Benefits

  • Health and Wellbeing – Flexible and hybrid working arrangements / Employee Assistance Program / Discounted private health cover / BeWell Training Program / Weekly yoga and walking group / Free annual flu vaccinations
  • Paid Leave Benefits – Parental leave / Volunteer leave / Study leave
  • Professional Development – Leadership programs / Support of external training courses / Reimbursement of professional association memberships
  • Employee Savings – Discounted accommodation and experience rates / Salary packaging / Discovery partner discounts/ Free G’day Rewards membership / Loyalty recognition benefits
