Description

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Director of Procurement & Facilities. This pivotal role is responsible for shaping and executing QTC’s Procurement strategy, ensuring it aligns with our business needs, drives long-term commercial value, and enhances the visibility and embedment of procurement across QTC.

What You’ll Do

Strategy and Planning:

  • Review and develop a new procurement operating model aligned with QTC strategy.
  • Develop a commercially viable procurement strategy in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Design and lead the strategic procurement demand planning cycle.

Leadership

  • Lead the Procurement and Facilities team, ensuring optimal resourcing and skill complement.
  • Provide strategic guidance and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement learning and development program.

Stakeholder Engagement And Collaboration

  • Implement a Community of Practice model for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop a case for change related to technology platform investment.
  • Provide project support to the Project Management Office as needed.

Governance And Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee the review and maintenance of procurement-related policies and procedures.
  • Develop relevant frameworks and refine procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework and provide necessary reporting.

What You’ll bring

Competencies

  • Strong technical, behavioural, and leadership skills, including experience in driving integrated procurement strategies, effective communication, and proven leadership in procurement and facilities.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or significant equivalent experience.
  • Desirable: Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting, Diploma of Business (Procurement), Diploma of Procurement and Contracting.

Experience

  • Essential: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in relevant roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality outcomes.
