Reporting to the Digital Applications Manager, the Salesforce Developer will utilise their extensive knowledge and processes to investigate and recommend potential resolution or improvement initiatives, within the available technical and functional capability of the Honda CRM platform, enabling higher end user acceptance and satisfaction.
How will you make an impact:
- Design, develop, govern, and support the ongoing function of Honda’s Digital platforms and integrations between Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), and external applications (such as) leveraging REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth, and Single Sign-On.
- Provide software solutions that meet business requirements, conform to best practice standards, are fully tested, and are accurately documented for future reference.
- Analyze and identify gaps in functional/business requirements, discuss with functional and client product owners on required changes that align with the Salesforce product stack and architecture.
- Lead and support workshops to gather business requirements, design discussions, review Epics/User-stories ,convert functional requirements to technical requirements, estimate user stories, plan team
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert on the Salesforce Platform, associated solutions such as Conga, and Salesforce integrations and future digital initiatives.
- Liaise with Salesforce and related vendors to manage support escalation tickets.
- Support SF Shield, Event & Monitor setup, policy creation, and reporting in Salesforce.
- Experience with Apex development on developer console/Visual Studio Code.
- Hands-on experience in administration setup, e.g., managing users, security controls, and data as well as creating roles, profiles, and reports.
- Design custom objects, custom fields, pick lists, page layouts, workflows, approval processes, validation rules, custom tabs, reports, Visual force pages, dashboards, and email generation according to application requirements.
- Write test classes for the code developed and ensure more than 80% code coverage. Monitor test automation and liaise with managed services for maintenance.
- Conduct QA and code audits/reviews, work with the development team to produce high-quality code
- standards, conduct regression testing, and support UAT with effective defect resolution.
- Manage and migrate Salesforce releases from development to test to production environments using CI technologies like Change sets, Salesforce DX, etc
- Ensure accountability for the SFCC side by overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of the SFCC platform, ensuring seamless integration with Salesforce CRM and other external applications
What you'll bring to Honda
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field is desirable.
- 5 Years experience in Salesforce ecosystem with hands on development in CRM and SFCC building Apex code, LWC components, and integration with external systems.
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Knowledge, Partner portal and Community portal experience.
- Certification in Salesforce Platform Developer 1, Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder is desirable.
- Strong experience in J2EE Frameworks such as JSP, Spring and ORM tools (eg.Hibernate).
- Experience using development tools such as Eclipse, Maven, JUnit, Subversion,bitbucket.
