About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Bequests Administrator to ensure Gifts in Wills are honoured with care, precision, and integrity. As such, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient administration of all Gifts in Wills made to The Salvation Army nationally. Your work will ensure estate gifts are managed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner to maximise their charitable impact. This is a permanent, full time, position based out of Blackburn, Melbourne with hybrid/flexible WFH arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate bequests including documentation review and estate processing
  • Manage a variety of asset types including cash, shares, property, and other holdings in line with organisational requirements
  • Administer executorships and life interest estates, ensuring alignment with donor intentions
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reconciliations and reporting in partnership with internal finance teams
  • Update and manage records in CRM database
  • Develop and maintain respectful, professional relationships with executors, solicitors, Trustee Companies, and other estate stakeholders
  • Ensure all estate matters are documented and managed with integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail

About You

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration or similar
  • Extensive relevant experience in wills and estates, estate administration, or legal support roles
  • Strong data management skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software applications
