O’Brien have an exciting opportunity for you to grow your career within the glass industry by joining our Launceston Distribution Centre as a Warehouse Supervisor!
Reporting to our Network Area Manager, this full time role will require someone who is adaptable, trustworthy, and reliable. This hands-on role will require you to run our Launceston DC independently.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships including customers and insurers, local suppliers
Supervise daily warehouse operations including loading and unloading goods, picking and packing orders, organising receipts, storage and dispatching of goods
Support management of the schedules of work
Ensure that the delivery of service with a professional, caring and friendly attitude
Ensure the delivery of accurate and complete orders packed/picked, maintaining a high quality of service
Have the ability to make decisions, work to agreed targets and meet key performance indicators.
Provide customer assistance for both telephone and sales enquires
Reviews situations quickly to identify workable solutions and make clear and prompt decisions.
Maintaining the highest standards of compliance, safety, and cleanliness to create an environment that celebrates and nurtures excellence.
Receive incoming goods as per company procedures
Required Skills & Experience:
Holds a current drivers licence
Holds a valid LF Forklift licence
Have solid computer skills
Be a problem-solver who uses initiative to continually improve the quality and efficiency of work
A person with exceptional time management skills, capable of handling a heavy workload and prioritising tasks effectively
Someone who is consistently professional, fair and responsible, setting a positive tone within the working environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work independently
Proven ability to take a hands-on, solutions orientated approach
Must have hands on warehousing experience
