As the Head of Business Development for ANZ, you will own the full partnership lifecycle across broadcasters, studios, distributors, and digital content creators. Your mission: aggressively grow Samsung TV Plus through securing transformative deals and expanding into untapped content verticals. Working closely with regional and global BD, Content, and Ad Sales teams, you will ensure tight alignment on business planning, commercial targets, and strategic priorities — positioning the platform for sustained success and scale in the region.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive business development efforts across ANZ, focusing on sourcing, negotiating, and closing high-impact content deals that expand Samsung TV Plus’ reach and platform differentiation
  • Identify and secure new partnership categories and content verticals that create competitive advantage and reflect evolving local market dynamics
  • Own the end-to-end commercial deal process — from initial outreach, negotiation, contract execution, to ongoing relationship management and renewal
  • Prioritise and tier partners based on business value, market opportunity, and platform fit to maximise viewer engagement and monetisation potential
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global BD, Ads, and Commercial teams to align deals with revenue goals and platform growth initiatives
  • Oversee deal pipeline management and reporting using internal systems (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring transparency and timely progression of key negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory and licensing requirements relevant to content acquisition and distribution
  • Track and manage partner contracts, including renewals, amendments, expiries, and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Work alongside the Regional Head of APAC and global functional leads on business planning, performance tracking, and cross-market alignment
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with local industry partners, driving long-term collaboration and competitive positioning for Samsung TV Plus


Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years’ experience in business development, content acquisition, or content partnerships in media, streaming or entertainment
  • Deep understanding of Southeast Asia and India’s content ecosystems, with established networks across broadcasters, platforms, and producers
  • Experience leading cross-regional or multi-market teams and driving commercial growth
  • Proven track record of closing complex licensing or channel deals with multiple rights implications
  • Familiarity with AVOD/FAST models, digital advertising, and content monetisation strategies
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills — with the ability to pivot from high-level vision to deal detail


Basic Requirements

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Salesforce experience a plus
  • English fluency required; other SEA languages a strong advantage
  • Based in Southeast Asia with ability to travel regionally and internationally
  • Passion for the evolving streaming and digital video space
