Role description: This multi-faceted role will have you working at the heart of our Sydney office, assisting with general day-to-day operations, including maintenance oversight, health & safety compliance, providing technical support for room bookings and AV issues, greeting visitors, answering calls and emails, and assisting with event planning including social club events. You'll join a close-knit team in Sydney and work alongside colleagues from our interstate offices, contributing to the smooth running of our workplace. With sustainability at the core of all our projects, we will be looking for someone who can help drive sustainability within our office. To ensure our workplace is maintained during all office hours, hours for this role are 9am to 5:30pm Role accountabilities:
  • Overseeing and actioning workplace tickets, maintenance & repair requests.
  • Providing reception lunch break and leave coverage, greeting visitors and handling incoming calls efficiently and professionally.
  • Overseeing access card and control management.
  • Manage meeting room bookings through our desk booking system, keeping rooms and the reception area tidy.
  • Be the go-to person for AV troubleshooting and minor IT requests.
  • Support daily office operations, including handling mail, coordinating couriers, and liaising with vendors and building management.
  • Assist with setting up meetings and events, from arranging furniture to ordering food and beverages.
  • Undertaking First Aid and Evacuation Warden roles.
  • Supporting Arcadis’ sustainability initiatives around the office.
Qualification & Experience: You’ll have experience in facilities or building services coordination. You’re a strong communicator with a professional phone manner and a commitment to exceptional customer service. With solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and a knack for learning workplace IT systems, you can prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively.
