We are supporting a major Federal Government agency as they undertake one of the most significant digital transformations in the public sector. As part of the Technology Uplift Program, we’re seeking a Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in enterprise systems delivery, stakeholder engagement, and cloud-based digital platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional delivery environments, understands the challenges of government transformation, and can translate technical complexity into clear business outcomes – from stakeholder workshops through to system documentation and solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities Of The Position

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, project teams, and external delivery counterparts to elicit, analyse, and manage business and technical requirements aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable deliverables through documentation, modelling, and process mapping.
• Lead requirement-gathering workshops and communicate technical constraints in accessible, business-friendly language.
• Research and document new system capabilities through direct interaction with vendor SMEs, system demos, and technical exploration.
• Produce BA artefacts including process diagrams, risk analysis, scope modelling, and data analysis documents.
• Engage with cross-business stakeholders to identify interdependencies and system impacts.
• Participate in solution reviews, ensuring that the design aligns with business objectives and technical architecture.
• Support agile and waterfall delivery models across various workstreams, adapting to dynamic priorities.
• Contribute to internal capability uplift through BA community forums and documentation best practices.
  
  

About Our Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis roles delivering enterprise-scale systems or cloud-based solutions.
• Proven expertise engaging with technical SMEs to articulate business requirements and simplify complex concepts.
• Experience working across multi-disciplinary project teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud environments (preferably AWS), web/mobile app development, and/or SaaS platforms.
• Track record of successful delivery in high-impact transformation projects within enterprise or government environments.
  
  

Desirable Expertise

• Experience working with or within Australian Government departments or statutory agencies.
• Familiarity with Salesforce platforms, data platforms, or SaaS tools.
• Comfortable operating across Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
• Ability to manage fast-paced, competing priorities in complex programs.
