The Opportunity:

The Central Group within the National Indigenous Australians Agency has exciting opportunities for Executive Assistant roles in Nhulunbuy and Darwin. As an Executive Assistant you will provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to Senior Executives.


Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • deliver executive support including managing the diary and meeting arrangements of the Senior Executive Service officer
  • coordinate meetings including drafting agendas, collation of papers, venue bookings and catering
  • prepare briefing packs, reports and papers for committees
  • build and sustain relationships in order to work collaboratively within the work area and other areas of the NIAA
  • liaise with stakeholders and visitors of all levels, building good working relationships and providing a point of contact for assistance and general enquiries
  • assist with finance activities, including procurement, credit card reconciliation and compliance reporting
  • apply sound judgment in providing executive and administrative assistance to Senior Executives
  • solve problems that may be challenging yet broadly similar to previous situations and research solutions
  • arrange, coordinate and reconcile all aspects of domestic travel in line with relevant policies
  • maintain records management systems in line with NIAA policies and procedures.
