Our opportunity


As a Senior HSE Advisor, you will be assisting in the day-to-day implementation of the Mirvac HSE management system and the workplace risk management plans.

The Senior HSE Advisor reports directly to the Regional HSE Manager and maintains a functional reporting line to the workplace managers on all matters relating to health safety environment.


Your responsibilities will include


  • Review and assist in the development and implementation of a Workplace Risk Management Plan/s.
  • Participate in design reviews to consider HSE risks and design change to eliminate or minimise the risks identified (Mirvac Group DOOR process - Designing Out Our Risk).
  • Assist and review where required risk & opportunity register planning for the workplace and its work activities to establish the level of health safety environment management planning required before commencement.
  • Assist in the identification and provide assistance with work activities which have the potential for significant (material harm) impact on the environment and ensure they are planned and executed to minimise risk to the environment.
  • Assist and review in the investigation and formal reporting of incidents involving injury, near miss, damage to plant and equipment or environment harm.
  • Role model appropriate behaviour with regard to HSE matters.
  • Assist and conduct regular internal audits of the site
  • Complete workplace inductions.


Your point of difference


You are a dedicated and experienced HSE professional with 3+ years of experience in the Health, Safety, and Environment sector, backed by formal qualifications in an HSE discipline or a related field. Qualifications in HSE management system auditing, particularly those recognised by a national body, will be highly regarded.


A solid working knowledge of Australian Quality, OH&S, and Environmental procedures is essential, along with familiarity with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and relevant Australian Standards.

You should possess a deep understanding of HSE legislative frameworks across all jurisdictions and the ability to clearly communicate these requirements in a straightforward and practical manner.


Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, alongside excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
