Senior Financial and Operations Accountant

Randstad Senior Finance is proud to be partnering exclusively with a highly regarded Australian financial services provider to recruit a Senior Financial and Operational Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team on a 6-month temporary contract, with strong potential for permanent employment for the right individual.

About The Role

Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, this position plays a critical role in managing mortgage operations, trust accounting, financial reporting, and operational process improvement. You’ll be joining a values-driven organisation during a period of growth and innovation, with exposure to a wide range of financial and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day mortgage operations including settlements, redraws, and discharges
• Manage mortgage transfers and funding requirements for securitisation trusts
• Prepare offer-to-sell documentation and coordinate note drawdowns
• Run the Accounts Payable function including broker commission payments
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and audits
• Liaise with external trust accountants for monthly and annual reporting
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and servicer reports
• Support the tech team on mortgage system enhancements
• Complete quarterly ABS surveys and prepare BAS statements
  
  

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience in financial accounting within a financial services or mortgage lending environment
• Knowledge of securitisation structures and trust reporting (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
