Your New Role

As a Manager for Regulatory Reporting, Sustainability, you will be instrumental in ensuring that Aware Super delivers sustainable retirement outcomes for our members and communities, through transparent and commercial reporting. Your work will enable the business to better understand the impact of our practices and deliver robust, actionable insights to inform our governance at all levels. You responsibilities will include:

  • Lead ESG & Corporate Reporting: Oversee the development and delivery of annual reports, ESG disclosures, and regulated statements (e.g. Modern Slavery, Reconciliation Action Plan), ensuring alignment with international frameworks.
  • Data & Framework Management: Develop and manage ESG data systems, reporting methodologies, and materiality assessments in line with standards such as TCFD and the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, executives, suppliers, and external partners to ensure accurate, impactful reporting and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Communications & Content Creation: Prepare sustainability content for various channels including board reports, marketing materials, and member communications to enhance engagement and visibility.
  • Strategic Insight & Benchmarking: Monitor ESG trends, lead benchmarking and awards submissions, and contribute to the organisation’s sustainability positioning and emissions reduction targets.

  • Qualifications & Experience: Tertiary qualification in Sustainability, ESG, or related field, with 7+ years’ experience in sustainability or corporate governance reporting.
  • Reporting Expertise: Proven experience in preparing ESG and governance reports (e.g. Annual Reports, Modern Slavery Statements), ideally within ASX-listed or financial institutions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and standards, ESG risk management, and data analysis for reporting and disclosures.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing complex projects and building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strategic & Adaptive Thinking: Demonstrated ability to align sustainability initiatives with business goals, innovate, and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
