Commercial Manager

Brightstar Resources (ASX: BTR) owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish Mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. As part of our preparation for new sites and projects to launch, we have created a position in our Subiaco head office for a Commercial Manager.

Establishing the commercial function for Brightstar you will lead strategies and initiatives across:

• Contract Management – Negotiate, draft, and oversee contracts with suppliers, contractors, and clients.
• Procurement & Supply Chain – Oversee procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
• Financial Oversight – Manage budgets, analyze project costs and profitability, and report on financial performance.
• Risk & Compliance Management – Identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Coordinate with internal teams and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as vendors, partners, and regulators.

You will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (business, finance, law, etc.), with significant experience in commercial and/or procurement roles within mining or similar heavy industries. You will be a self-starter, with strong communication skills, and the ability to design and execute the strategy for the commercial function.
