City: Sydney, New South Wales
Contract type: Full time

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented digital designer to join our team and play a critical role on one of the agency’s biggest accounts

Allow us to introduce ourselves

We’re Apparent, a full-service, independent agency made up of 140 thinkers, creators and solution-makers doing what we do best. One thing you should know about us: we’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit, and we know the work worth doing doesn’t fit into neat, tidy boxes. And neither should you, for that matter. Our warehouse space in Redfern is here for you to gather, make stuff you’re proud of and grow your strengths (even if they have nothing to do with your job description).

We punch well above our weight, with some of the biggest clients in the world on our roster, from tech giants like Google and VMware, to local icons like Tourism Australia and Cricket Australia. Our approach? We call it the red thread. In other words, it’s the thing that connects everything we do, from the customer, through to the client and brand. On any given day you can expect to cross paths with someone in strategy, brand, creative, content production, social media, UX/UI, technology and media planning and buying. Oh and dogs, too. You’ll definitely cross paths with adorable dogs

A few things you’ll like about working here:

  • A flexible and hybrid working policy
  • Generous parental leave and summer days off
  • Heaps of growth and training opportunities
  • 24/7 access to our employee assistance program for you and your family

The role is to:

We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented digital designer to join our team and play a critical role on one of the agency’s biggest accounts.
This is not your typical product designer role. You won’t be designing the digital products, but you will need to understand them inside-out. Your focus will be on translating evolving product features and updates into accurate, on-brand marketing experiences: web content, videos, demos, and internal
tools. You’ll become a trusted partner to the client, helping guide decisions based on your deep understanding of their products and platforms. You’ll spot inconsistencies, flag outdated UI, and ensure everything we create is current, correct, and beautiful.
You’ll work closely with a team of creatives, producers, developers and strategists, but your zone of genius will be sitting right at the intersection of design craft and product accuracy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Keeping up to date with product launches, deprecations, and UI patterns.
  • Designing marketing materials and microsites that showcase the products accurately and beautifully.
  • Spotting inconsistencies or outdated content and flagging better alternatives.
  • Owning the design craft across your work: thoughtful, pixel-perfect, and brand-aligned.

Skills you’ll need:

  • A strong UI designer with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Any examples of design thinking and UX expertise will be highly valued.
  • Appetite for exploration of AI and creative use of AI to optimise workflows.
  • Experience working on marketing websites, design systems, or large-scale product ecosystems.
  • Someone who loves learning — and isn’t afraid to dive deep into the nuance of complex tools.
  • A Figma pro with solid prototyping skills.
  • Knowledge of design tokens, responsive design, and accessibility is a bonus.
  • A love of clarity, consistency, and doing things right.
  • 3-5 yrs of experience in a similar role
