The Opportunity:

As Legal Counsel, you’ll be a member of the legal team responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, managing risk, and advising internal stakeholders to support Seven in achieving its commercial objectives within the legal framework.

Based at our head office in Eveleigh, Sydney and reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clear, accurate and sound legal and commercial advice across Seven’s business operations.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to manage contract negotiations, risk and protect the company’s position in every agreement and transaction.
  • Supporting implementation of new ventures, driving business transformation, and ensuring compliance whilst balancing legal, regulatory, commercial, and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborating within the Legal team and with internal and external stakeholders to identify and deliver cost-effective, business-aligned solutions.

About You:

You are an accomplished Lawyer with sharp drafting skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional commercial acumen and meticulous attention to detail. You’re confident, comfortable working independently, and ready to make a real impact from day one.

You will have:

  • 5-8 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).
  • Previous experience in technology, digital, data and broadcast agreements, commercial leases and/or production agreements.
  • Law firm PQE in a technology and media team.
  • A current NSW practising certificate.
