Key Responsibilities:



· Depending on your level of experience, your role may include:

· Designing, coding, testing, and debugging COBOL programs for mainframe applications

· Supporting and enhancing legacy applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2

· Participating in full software development life cycle (SDLC) activities

· Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

· Troubleshooting and resolving system issues in a timely manner

· Writing technical documentation and participating in code reviews



Mid-Level (2-5 years):

· Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and/or CICS

· Familiarity with batch and online processing

· Good problem-solving and debugging skills

· Exposure to additional platforms for example HP written Applications, Assembler



Senior-Level (5+ years):

· Extensive experience in mainframe development and support

· Strong knowledge of mainframe tools/utilities

· Experience in leading projects or mentoring junior developers

· Strong understanding of business processes and legacy modernization strategies
