This is a fixed term full time appointment at 76 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
Position Profile: The Health Technology Management Unit (HTMU) is seeking a Senior Procurement and Contract Manager responsible for the procurement of medical equipment and development and management of contracts, relating to the Medical Equipment Replacement Program (MERP). In addition, the post will head up the Procurement and Contract Management team located in HTMU consisting of four procurement and contract management staff which report to the post. The position will oversee procurement and management of complex contracts for HTMU across East and South Metropolitan Health Services, ensuring effective implementation and evaluation of outcomes through performance monitoring and quality initiatives, reducing cost to the Government in relation to health service contracts. Applicants must demonstrate substantial experience in providing best-practice in procurement and contract management in the health services area and have strong leadership, management, communication and negotiation skills. The post has split reporting responsibilities, firstly to the Director Procurement and Contracting in the Corporate Services and Finance Division and within HTMU to the Manager of General Information and Technology Service. The majority of the work undertaken for the post will be in HTMU for MERP.
This position is based at Royal Perth Hospital.
