As a result of our continued growth and over $1 billion of work-in-hand, Georgiou is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our building team on the Fiona Stanley Hospital Western Car Park project. The successful candidate will display strong technical skills in all elements of civil engineering particularly within a commercial building environment.

You Will Be Trusted To

  • Scope, prepare short term (4 weekly or as otherwise directed) look ahead programs, and provides input into the project schedule, status of works and reporting requirements
  • Maintain and update the contract program, including productivity units and ensuring the timely notification of EOT’s or delays
  • Monitor and review the project task financial outcomes, including overseeing project monthly forecasting and short-term cost controls to ensure project targets are optimised
  • Provide daily support, team supervision and feedback to field operations to produce high-quality project outcomes against company set performance criteria
  • Supervise the daily contract administration requirements and collaborate in the negotiation and control of subcontractor and supply agreements
  • Attend to the scope of work assigned with defined work methods and deliver the work in accordance with total project schedule

What You’re Good At

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Engineer in a similar role within the commercial construction industry, with experience in overseeing a project or an assigned section of a project
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders concerns
  • Able to demonstrate daily productivity and cost control skills and prior forecasting experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for site works
  • A working knowledge of implementing and monitoring project management plans
  • Experience in coordinating and/or running tool box meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices
  • Sound working knowledge of building works and services
  • Experience of guiding and leading other engineers
  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree
