What You’ll Be Doing

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team in Dee Why. You’ll be responsible for delivering the production plan for the factory in a safe, right first time and efficient manner. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the manning, maintenance, engineering, and production in the respective factory whilst ensuring the product is produced in a safe and high-quality environment in the most cost-effective manner.

The role is also responsible for delivering results in line with Prysmian Management Plan for the factory and for contributing to continuous improvement targets and lean manufacturing projects. This includes direct management of machine operators to achieve the set goals and objectives across HSE, Quality, Customer Service, Performance and People across a 24-hour operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures (LTI's, MTI's, Injury Management)
  • People Management (Rostering, Labor Turnover, Absenteeism)
  • Personnel Training (Skills Matrix, Progress to Training Plan) Product Quality (No. of Customer Product/Service Complaints, NCA's, SQC development and conformance, support for quality project initiatives)
  • Planning and scheduling production processes and activities
  • Delivery Schedule Achievement / DIFOT (Customer Service %, Schedule Adherence, etc.)
  • Production Output and Productivity (OEE, D/L Efficiency ($ & %), Factory Manning Levels, Conversion Cost, Tons, etc.)
  • Inventories, Scrap and Material Efficiency ($$ WIP, kg%, Material Usage)
  • Develop and Implement housekeeping standards using the "6S" Philosophy

What You’ll Need

  • Degree qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory management role
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and Standards
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Standards and Compliance
  • MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
