About Us

Southern Animal Health has proudly served the local community for over 16 years. Located just 18 km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD, we operate from a modern, purpose-built clinic designed to support high standards of care. Our close-knit team includes five veterinarians and eleven dedicated support staff who share a commitment to exceptional patient outcomes and ongoing professional growth.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Lead Veterinarian who will inspire and guide our team, uphold clinical standards, and help shape the future direction of our clinic. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring, collaborating, and making a lasting impact.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of passionate veterinarians and support staff
  • Foster a culture of learning, mentorship, and professional development
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Regional Manager on clinic strategy and goals
  • Maintain a strong clinical presence with a mix of surgical and medical cases
  • Deliver training and development support to junior vets through regular clinical sessions

Clinic Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 6:30pm (Vets start from 8:00am)
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
  • Public Holidays: 8:00am – 4:00pm
