Your New Role
As key member of the Group Corporate Sustainability team, you will drive strategic thinking, programs and engagement across the enterprise and with a wide range of external stakeholders. Social impact is at the heart of what we do at Aware Super and you will leverage your breadth and depth of experience within this field to bring exceptional value to our members and community. Your role will include:
- Strategic Leadership & Program Design: Develop and implement social impact strategies and programs aligned with business goals, focusing on areas like financial inclusion, education, reconciliation, and vulnerable communities.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with internal teams, community organisations, government agencies, and social enterprises to drive collaborative impact.
- Project & Resource Management: Lead end-to-end delivery of initiatives (e.g. Reconciliation Action Plan, Modern Slavery assessments), managing budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Impact Measurement & Reporting: Design and implement frameworks to evaluate program effectiveness, track outcomes, and report on social return on investment.
- Advocacy & Thought Leadership: Represent the organisation at industry events, create compelling impact narratives, and contribute to public discourse on corporate social responsibility.

- Relevant Qualifications & Experience: Tertiary qualification in a related field and at least 7 years' experience in social impact, community development, or CSR roles.
- Technical Expertise: Proven skills in impact measurement, project management, stakeholder engagement, and financial oversight of social programs.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to align social impact initiatives with business strategy, supported by strong data analysis and evaluation capabilities.
- Communication & Cultural Competency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sensitivity to diverse communities and cultural contexts.
- Innovation & Autonomy: Demonstrated creativity in addressing social challenges and the ability to work independently while driving continuous improvement.
- You are balanced in accepting risk in any decision you face. You are curious to understand risk context and choose to speak up as we simplify, learn and grow.
