SYPAQ are seeking a Safety Systems Engineer to join our team in a Permanent or in an ongoing consulting capacity. This position will see you providing Program Safety Management and continual improvement in the support of ongoing Defence projects. Utilising your years of Defence Engineering experience backed by a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Defence security Clearance, SYPAQ is offering a near immediate start working from Defence in Victoria you will be supported by your team and SYPAQ corporate offices in Port Melbourne.

You Will Be Responsible For But Not Limited To
- Demonstrated experience in management of safety systems in accordance with MIL-STD882, or equivalent standard.
- Development and maintenance of the Materiel System Safety Management Plan
- Ability to achieve Technical Authority in the relevant area of practice
- Management and escalation of Risk Logs
- Conducting System Safety Working Groups to support Materiel
- Providing engineering support, as required, to engineering and project teams
- Develop and provide training packages for staff
- Conducting safety case reviews of Materiel.
- Bachelor of Engineering - Engineers Australia recognised (current)
- A current security clearance (minimum NV1) preferable NV2
- ITAR compliant
- More than 10 years Defence experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
