- Looking for an experienced Director of Operations.
- This role, based at our Parramatta office location requires travel across our metropolitan office locations with routine attendance at Parramatta, Gosford and, Haymarket.
- Total Remuneration Package from $239,483 to $263,586 commensurate with experience.
About the Role
As Director Operations, you will be at the helm of regulatory operations, responsible for improving performance, ensuring compliance with Work Health and Safety legislative objectives, and building strong relationships with stakeholders. You will also play a key role in identifying risks and opportunities, providing strategic advice to senior leadership, and ensuring that operational decisions align with both government and organisational priorities.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide expert leadership and professional advice to ensure high-quality regulatory and compliance services are delivered effectively, protecting the community and achieving legislative goals.
- Set clear performance goals, quality standards, performance and evaluation measures for the compliance programs, continuously monitoring and improving the effectiveness of service delivery.
- Foster a positive and accountable team culture, driving performance management, strategic resource allocation, and risk-based regulation to achieve the best outcomes for businesses and citizens of NSW.
- Collaborate with other regulatory and compliance programs across the organisation and sector to share intelligence, drive innovation, and explore opportunities for more efficient and effective enforcement activities.
- Oversee the development of compliance promotion and risk-based proactive compliance strategies to optimise levels of compliance and achieve harm prevention goals, ensuring that compliance activities are evidence-based, properly supervised and handled in line with best practice standards.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including unions, industry bodies, and senior executives, to build strong effective working relationships and provide timely advice on strategic and operational issues.
