We design and construct the following assets; power generation, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, water and waste water treatment plans and water pipelines.

The Opportunity
UGL Utilities team are currently looking for a Senior HSE Advisor to join our team in Perth.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety. You will also conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and collaborate with teams to improve safety practices and environmental sustainability.

- Create and enforce health, safety and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify potential hazards, assess risks and recommend effective control measures to mitigate workplace risks.
- Lead investigations of workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver training programs to employees and management to enhance awareness and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Track and report on key HSE metrics, ensuring continuous improvement through audits and performance reviews.

- Relevant qualifications in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Proven industry experience in a Senior HSE Advisory role with the construction, engineering or large infrastructure sectors in Australia.
- In-depth understanding of HSE legislation, including Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
- Excellent ability to engage, influence, and train teams at all levels to promote a positive safety culture.
- Relevant certifications such as Cert IV in WHS, ICAM (incident investigation training), and a valid WA Drivers license for site visits.
- Ability to provide a safe, supportive, and positive workplace
