About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team within the Public Sector. This role is responsible for the end-to-end administration of contracts, ensuring procurement compliance, risk management, and value for money in accordance with WA Government policies and frameworks.

Location: Perth, WA. East Perth, CBD Perth

Rate: Level 3. $54 an hour + Super

Job Type: Full-Time / Temporary / long term arrangement, seeking serious candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer contracts in accordance with government policies and procedures
  • Coordinate procurement activities
  • Conducting schedules and sorting out priorities to match the needs of the project
  • Maintain accurate contract records, registers, and reporting systems
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure contract milestones are achieved
  • Assist in risk management, audit compliance, and performance reviews
  • Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on contract and procurement matters

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in contract or procurement administration, preferably within a government or infrastructure-related environment
  • Understanding of the WA public sector procurement framework and relevant legislation (e.g., State Supply Commission policies)
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management tools/systems

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • WA Government background.
  • Previous experience in contract administration or procurement, ideally within a government or infrastructure environment
  • High-level attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using contract management or procurement systems (e.g. Tenders WA, TRIM, or similar)
