NGH has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Social Impact Assessment to join our communities team. In this role you will play a key part in delivering social research, social impact assessments and stakeholder engagement to support renewable energy, major infrastructure projects, property planning and approvals in metropolitan and regional Australia.

The Opportunity:
NGH has an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Social Impact Assessment to join our communities team. In this role you will play a key part in delivering social research, social impact assessments and stakeholder engagement to support renewable energy, major infrastructure projects, property planning and approvals in metropolitan and regional Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality social impact assessment reports for renewable energy, transport, water and property projects.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative social research, and engage with a diverse stakeholder, including participation in community consultation events, designing and conducting interviews and workshops, to understand and communicate potential project impacts and co-develop benefit-sharing opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and positive social outcomes.
- Support proposal writing, project coordination and delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
- Participate in thought leadership initiatives to promote best practice in social impact assessment, strategic planning, and community-led development.
- Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, urban planning, geography or related discipline.
- Experience or a strong interest in Social Impact Assessment for renewable energy, major infrastructure and property projects.
- Relevant prior consulting, Local or State government experience.
- Demonstrated skills in quantitative or qualitative social research, strong written and verbal communication or community engagement.
- An understanding of social impact assessment frameworks, community consultation, and policy contexts at state and national levels.
- Experience working with communities, governments, and industry stakeholders to address social concerns and co-create solutions (highly desirable).
- Interest or experience in the renewable energy, transport, water or property sectors.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong sense of integrity and commitment to equitable, inclusive social outcomes.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks within tight timeframes.
- A passion for making meaningful social impact through data-informed planning, stakeholder engagement, and community empowerment.
