Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Risks, Quality and Service Continuity Lead in Canberra to provide strategic planning for the integration and deployment of new capability delivered within Defence. The role includes the planning of proposed new capability into the deployed environments. This includes planning and gathering of systems end-state requirements, technical needs that detail the systems integration and/or other systems development requirements and functional needs that are primarily driven from business needs such as criticality, benefit and risk/rewards, programmatic needs that balance the needs of the criticality/urgency, with the needs for integration with other projects, and to continuously manage the risks.

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Responsible for business continuity and disaster recovery plans and planning exercises
  • Providing high-level strategic planning for new capabilities and integration with the ICT Partners and other 3rd Parties.
  • Preparing sourcing strategies and procurement plans to meet demands for additional services that are not covered under the DICT Agreement; managing the procurement of these activities and provides program level governance for the delivery phase of the procurement.
  • Participating in the ICT Architecture council, and advocate on behalf of ICT the processes, the systems and tools innovation required to deliver system improvements to the deployed capabilities.
  • Maintaining visibility of interdependent projects, JCG initiatives and Army, Navy and Airforce requirements that are likely to have a future impact on the delivery of service to capability managers and internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning for the integration and deployment of new ICT capabilities.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including conducting planning exercises.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the Defence or professional services industries.
  • Hold and maintain a minimum NV2 as required by the Commonwealth
