Senior Data Analyst – Baseline Clearance - ACT

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support the successful transition from legacy systems to cloud-based data platforms. This is a pivotal role working across data modelling and migration streams, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity in the target environment.

You will bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills to assist with Source to Target Mapping, profiling legacy systems, defining business and data quality rules, and analysing existing business logic. Your insights will directly inform cloud data architecture and migration approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse legacy data structures to understand relationships, data quality, and transformation needs.
  • Document comprehensive source-to-target mappings and data transformation logic.
  • Conduct detailed data profiling and contribute to cleansing and validation strategies.
  • Reverse-engineer business logic from legacy platforms to support migration and modelling.
  • Collaborate with data modellers to shape logical and physical models for cloud platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve data-related issues during migration, providing clear root cause analysis.
  • Communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders through reports and dashboards.
  • Contribute to executive-level decision-making through analytical insights and visualisations.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5+ years of enterprise-level data analysis experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL, SQL-based tools, and Power BI.
  • Expertise in data management tools, practices, and transformation pipelines.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver insights-driven outcomes.
  • Skilled in writing technical documentation with appropriate version control practices.
  • Experience in designing solutions for data warehouse, data lake, or big data platforms within cloud environments.

    • Desirable Criteria:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
    • Understanding of modern data storage and warehousing architectures.
    • Industry certifications or formal training in Data Management or Analysis.
