The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) is the peak resources sector representative body in Western Australia. The CME is a member-funded, not for profit organisation that represent the views and advocates the needs of its members.
Reporting to the Executive Council, the Chief Executive Officer will lead a highly committed and passionate team focused on its leadership of all the key issues that impact on the sector, while promoting the value of the sector to the community. The CME also provides a vital avenue through which members and stakeholder collaborate and drive a vision together to enhance the future of the sector and its place as a key economic driver of Western Australia.
Key competencies include;
· Exceptional leadership, presentation, negotiation and communication skills;
· A commitment to the resources industry;
· Previous leadership experience in a similar advocacy role would be advantageous;
· Demonstrated team leadership skills;
· Demonstrable track record of complex stakeholder management; and
· Strong knowledge and interest in policy and regulation.
