Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That’s refreshing

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial management of large-scale, high-risk infrastructure construction projects. You’ll drive commercial outcomes across head and supplier contracts, ensuring projects meet technical, quality, time, and cost standards.

This role is primarily based in Southbank and is part of the Infrastructure Operations and Delivery – Commercial Team.

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Lead commercial management of major infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Mentor and develop a small team of Commercial Managers and Advisors.
  • Oversee contract governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide strategic advice on contract claims and dispute resolution.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes.

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in negotiating, developing, or delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure construction projects—equipping you to mentor your team with practical, real-world insights.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ total experience in commercial or contract management across high-risk, complex projects, demonstrating your ability to lead with strategic and operational expertise.
  • Qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
  • High commercial acumen and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proven ability to influence project profitability and outcomes.

A real place to belong.

We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team. Engage and connect through our social club, family day, wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.
