Your Opportunity
This position, reporting directly to the Senior Director Components & Avionics, and will be responsible for the operational management of the Avionics business in Cairns consisting of an avionics component W/shop, over the counter sales, modification programs and customer and OEM/Partner relations.
The Avionics Manager will compile annual budgets and will be responsible for the business P & L ensuring financial targets are met. Additionally, this position will lead a team of technicians, salespeople and support staff while fostering a culture of engagement and customer focus.
The Avionics Manager will ensure the SDC&A is fully briefed on any relevant issues or requirements related to operations. Strong leadership and coordination are an important requirement of this position and will require Values & Service Standards are understood, promoted and realised within the business. The Avionics Manager will champion Continuous Improvement & look for ways to optimise business cost, improve Customer experience and ensure excellence is delivered to internal and external customers.

What will help you to succeed?
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to identify your audience in communicating on technical and non-technical issues with team members, colleges and business management, together with internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum 10years related industry experience including commercial qualities and /or Aviation experience is strongly preferred
- Well-developed understanding of principles of project management and risk management with the ability to lead/manage problem solving as required.
- Business Acumen with Strong Negotiation Skills and Relationship Management with the influence to achieve results.
- Results driven by being able to execute with a high level of personal accountability.
