How You Can Make a Difference

As our System Administrator (Research Grants), you'll be the digital engine behind our research funding. You'll develop, manage and optimise our Grants Management Portal (GMP), ensuring it runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently for all users - internal and external.


From configuring workflows and automations, to ensuring data integrity, compliance, and a seamless user experience, you'll be a vital part of making sure funding reaches the researchers working to save lives.


You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Melbourne office.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Keep the GMP humming across all stages of the grant lifecycle
  • Design and streamline workflows, dashboards, and automated communications
  • Lead improvements to enhance functionality and user experience
  • Maintain and troubleshoot UI components and platform upgrades
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and external users
  • Collaborate with Risk, Legal, Finance, and Revenue teams
  • Manage vendor relationships and support other programs using GMP


What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in a sys-admin role for a complex system (SmartSimple preferred!)
  • Ability to quickly understand back-end and front-end system configurations
  • Ability to analyse complex data and produce clear reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HTML/CSS (SQL a bonus)
  • Knowledge of cyber security and data compliance
  • Superb communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset; and love of solving problems


Bonus Points For

  • Experience delivering training or user support
  • Understanding of the research or research funding sector
