About the role

The Senior Commercial Manager will support the delivery of the commercial strategy and is responsible for managing and developing business partner relationships with a view to maximising revenue and relationship longevity.

Key deliverables associated with this role includes providing leadership and support to the Commercial Managers and demonstrating a strong ability in achieving budget targets, the development of new business opportunities, oversight of retail development projects in the Terminals, reduction of vacancy provisions and managing stakeholder relationships.

You will manage, mentor and lead the team, whilst contributing to ensure the delivery of key tenants and business partners, outcomes, including:

• Meetings with key business partners to discuss operational, sales and other performance issues;
• Ensuring all relevant codes, legislation, contract lease terms and conditions are observed by relevant parties;
• Ensuring all rental and other charges are billed in accordance with contract requirements;
• Identifying and managing critical tenants;
• Review and approve all rent reviews and turnover reconciliations for the portfolio;
• Assist with the debtor process across the portfolio in conjunction with the Commercial Finance Team.
• Reviewing the reconciliation of outgoings; and
• Overseeing the presentation and maintenance of leased premises.

About you

You like to be part of a happy, high performing team and take pride in making a difference through doing great work.

You will have significant experience in running a profit centre business, and a history of leading and developing high performance teams. You will have a deep understanding of commercial property lease fundamentals, with significant experience and skills in commercial lease negotiation and sound knowledge of budgeting and accounting with the ability to interpret and analyse financial data.

Your strong commercial acumen, effective relationship building and communication skills, and a planned and structured approach, will be central to success in this role.
