Role Summary
AtkinsRéalis’ Engineering Design business provides multidisciplinary engineering services and integrated solutions across a wide range of projects and markets.
We are in search of a Senior Civil Engineer based in either our Sydney or Brisbane office, to support our portfolio of growing projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide input to some challenging projects within the energy infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.
The successful applicant will be a Senior Engineer with a degree in either civil or structural engineering and hold or eligible for chartered status with Engineer’s Australia. Applicants across all engineering industries (water, power, land develop, infrastructure and mining etc) or have double science based degrees are encouraged to apply as we value the diversity of skills you would bring to the team.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Act as a key civil resource.
- Lead/manage the design of external Civil Engineering works, including Pavements, Drainage and Utilities.
- Work closely with teams in Australia and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Lead/manage civil engineering investigations and assessments.
- Contribute to the development of complex project proposals/cost estimates and participate in the process of securing new business opportunities or expanding the scope of existing projects.
- Proven civil engineering design experience and strong numerical/analytical capabilities.
- Detailed working knowledge in the design of common civil infrastructures as well as current design standards and working practices.
- Project Management - Experience and understanding of the needs and approaches to the engineering consultancy and design markets, including relationships with clients, work planning and commercial management.
- Strong collaborative and network behaviours to interface with other disciplines and businesses.
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering and ideally CPEng or NER
