About the role – Data Business Analyst, Data Quality Tool implementation (12 month fixed term contract)

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Data Governance Leader, the Data Business Analyst will be responsible for facilitating and scoping the implementation of Soda into EnergyAustralia’s Cloud Environment. Responsibilities include:

  • Gather requirements to ensure successful implementation of the Data Governance tool (Soda)
  • Works alongside the Data Engineers to help implement Soda into AWS Cloud
  • Create specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of the Soda platform.
  • Engages with the business to prepare User Acceptance Testing.
  • Develops documentation that correctly reflects current functionality, operating procedures and processes.

Be Impactful When You Are Applying

You’re a detail-oriented Analyst with a strong grasp of data quality and governance, experienced in working closely with data engineers on implementations of data tools in cloud environments. Additionally, you will have some of the following competencies;

  • Tertiary Qualification in computer science, information technology, business systems or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent significant practical experience
  • Effective gathering and management of technical business requirements
  • Knowledge of cloud data systems and products and experience in delivery of cloud data projects (preferably AWS)
  • Proven experience working with data cataloging platforms, particularly Alation, to drive data governance, discoverability, and collaboration across enterprise data assets.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills with proven success in communicating complex analysis across all levels within a business
  • Experience working in Energy/Utilities or similar complex corporate environment
