Launch Recruitment are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading telecommunications company for an initial 12 month contract based in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving best-practice governance and controls across major telecommunications infrastructure initiatives.

About The Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and leading governance and reporting structures across large-scale programs, ensuring end-to-end visibility of dependencies, risks, and business requirements. This role is central to enabling the successful delivery of network programs by supporting consistent reporting, insights, and planning across multiple teams and functions.

You’ll work closely with project and functional leads, helping to refine existing practices and embed robust frameworks that align with best practice, while supporting new initiatives and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead consistent governance, reporting and performance tracking across new and existing programs
  • Provide insights into inflight projects, identifying risks, issues and areas for improvement
  • Build and manage dashboards, metrics, and financial reporting to support decision-making
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical leads and stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Support the rollout of new initiatives, and refine delivery processes to improve consistency and outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement and process maturity across project governance and reporting

What You Bring

  • 5+ years experience with full lifecycle project management on a related large and complex project/program of work with a preference in the telecommunications industry &/or HFC Technology
  • Proven experience in program governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with reporting tools and advanced Excel (e.g., for dashboards, metrics)
  • Formal qualifications in project management (PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner)
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to influence across teams and senior leadership
